“The Client List” Picked Up For Season 2
Posted by on May 7th, 2012

Jennifer Love Hewitt just tweeted that “The Client List” got picked up by Lifetime for a second season!

Lifetime has renewed its hit scripted series The Client List, starring and executive produced by Jennifer Love Hewitt, for a second season to premiere next year with 15 all-new episodes, it was announced today by Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of Lifetime Networks.

Regarding the announcement, Dubuc said, “The Client List represents everything we want to be — fresh, exciting and original with attitude. We love Jennifer and this series, and are equally thrilled that they have connected with our audience, especially as we express our new brand, ‘Your Life. Your Time.’”

Hewitt added, “I couldn’t be happier about Lifetime’s decision to renew The Client List for a second season. It has been so much fun working with such a great cast and crew on the wonderful stories we tell, and I’m ready to see where The Client List takes all of us next year.”

Betty White to Appear in Finale of “The Client List”
Posted by on April 26th, 2012

Betty White and Jennifer Love Hewitt are teaming up for what could be one very happy ending.

The former Golden Girls star is paying a visit to Hewitt’s racy Lifetime show, The Client List, about single mom Riley Parks, who works at The Rub of Sugar Land, a day spa in Texas that offers a little more than standard massage therapy.

In the show’s season finale, Riley, played by Hewitt, will be left in charge of the spa when her boss goes on vacation.

White, 90, will play Ruth Gibbons, the wife of one of Riley’s clients who has some advice to offer about making a marriage last.

“The Client List” To Premiere In April
Posted by on February 21st, 2012

The Client List, Lifetime’s new original drama starring and executive produced by Golden Globe® Award nominee Jennifer Love Hewitt, will officially open for business when it premieres on Sunday, April 8, at 10:00pm ET/PT. Golden Globe winner Cybill Shepherd (Cybill), Emmy® Award-winning actress Loretta Devine (Grey’s Anatomy) and Colin Egglesfield (Something Borrowed) also star. Based on the network’s hit 2010 original movie, Lifetime has ordered 10 episodes of The Client List.

The Client List is about Texas housewife “Riley Parks” (Hewitt), who, after being deserted by her husband, is left in serious financial straits and takes a job at a seemingly traditional day spa in a neighboring town. But when she realizes some of her co-workers also provide other services, Riley must make the difficult decision whether or not to embrace an opportunity for her to resolve her financial hardships. The series will follow Riley as she delicately balances a moral conflict between two starkly different lives — one as a single mother in a conservative town struggling to provide for her family and the other as a savvy and ambitiousbusinesswoman working with a raucous, sexy and unpredictable group of women. As Riley becomes more involved, she struggles while working in secrecy knowing her family and friends would disapprove of her decision. Shepherd stars as “Linette,” Riley’s mother; Devine plays “Georgia,” the spa’s feisty and disorganized owner; and Egglesfield portrays Riley’s brother-in-law “Evan.”

The Client List is executive produced by Hewitt, Dannielle Thomas (The Client List), Howard Braunstein (The Client List, The Informant!), Jordan Budde (GCB, 90210) and Efrem Seeger (Queer asFolk, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), with Fedora Films and Jaffe/Braunstein producing, in association with Sony Pictures Television.

In its July 2010 world premiere, the Lifetime Original Movie The Client List, for which Hewitt received a Golden Globe nomination in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television category, averaged 3.9 million Total Viewers. The movie was produced by Fedora Films and Jaffe-Braunstein Entertainment.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Taps Former Sony TV Exec To Run Her Company

Jennifer Love Hewitt has appointed former Sony Pictures TV executive Jeanie Bradley as head of development and production for her company Fedora Films. The position had been vacant for a while as Hewitt had been looking for the right person.

Fedora Films has a first-look deal with Lifetime for series and TV movies, which was made in conjunction with Hewitt’s pact to star in and produce the network’s upcoming The Client List; the series is based on the 2010 Lifetime movie toplined by the Ghost Whisperer alumna.

Last season, Fedora sold two half-hour projects, Love Squared to Fox and Bad Taste In Men to ABC.

Bradley spendt a decade leading Sony TV’s current department as EVP of U.S. Current Programming.

Hewitt, repped by WME and Untitled, most recently did a two-episode stint on TV Land’s Hot In Cleveland, reuniting with Betty White, with whom she starred in the 2011 Hallmark Hall of Fame movie The Lost Valentine on CBS.
