UsMagazine.com first reported in July that Jennifer Love Hewitt was dating actor/director Alex Beh — and on Sunday, the two made their first public appearance together, participating in the Dodge Rock ‘n’ Roll Los Angeles Half Marathon. “We’re crazy!” she joked to Us when asked why they decided to do the race together. “We are really excited about all the charities involved, and we heard the Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon was really fun and just sort of silly and a great way to stay in shape.” Hewitt, 31, told Us she met Beh “through friends at a dinner party” after splitting with her Ghost Whisperer costar Jamie Kennedy. What first attracted him? “Her eyes, her beauty,” Beh told Us. “My running ability!” Hewitt then joked, prompting Beh to add, “Yes, her running ability! It was her eyes, and really, we just laugh the whole time.” Added Hewitt, “We laugh a lot … he’s hilarious!” Beh told Us that he has even read her relationship advice book, The Day I Shot Cupid, which Hewitt told Us she wrote because, “Everybody has been writing about my dating life forever. I decided it was time that I actually gave my own opinions on love and dating and all that stuff.” Beh’s critique? “It’s very informative. I learned all I needed to know. When I first met her, I really was able to just map out all the things to do and not to do.” |

Jennifer Love Hewitt has been known for her petite physique almost as much as she has been for her starring roles. In fact, John Mayer’s song “Your Body is a Wonderland” was even rumored to be inspired by the actress. So when J. Love put on a few pounds a couple years ago, the media was quick to notice and showed no mercy. This week’s issue of OK! shows you how Jennifer got down from a size 8 to a slim size 2, giving her the newfound confidence to buy her first string bikini since she was 16! “I’m falling in love with my body,” Jennifer admits about her new shape. This acceptance wasn’t easy to come by, though. In 2007, after a few unflattering pictures of Jennifer in a swimsuit appeared on the Internet and sparked a hurtful debate over the actress’ weight, Jennifer quickly began to lose her self-esteem. “I questioned everything I put in my mouth after [that],” Jennifer reveals. “It challenged my confidence.” She began wearing baggy clothes in an attempt to shroud the figure she once flaunted. While she defended her weight to the media, in reality “I had to get over the fact that I was bummed out people thought I was fat,” Jennifer says. After watching the dramatic transformations on The Biggest Loser, Jennifer became inspired in 2008 and hired a personal trainer. Then the real work began. After not exercising for a year, it took a while for Jennifer’s body to adjust to the vigorous workouts. The first few times she got sick and “A couple times I stopped in the middle and burst into tears because I felt like I couldn’t do it. I was torn to shreds physically, mentally and emotionally,” Jennifer recalls. But all that pain paid off. Now, J. Love is loving her new body and is working hard to maintain it through a healthy lifestyle of intense workouts and a smart diet. Jennifer sticks to an hour-and-a-half-a-day workout schedule which includes “cardio, cardio, cardio” as well as weight lifting, spin classes and eating healthy foods six days a week. “Then I have one cheat day,” Jennifer admits. |

By the time Ghost Whisperer was cancelled by CBS, the cast and crew had already wrapped their fifth season so there was no opportunity for them to give the show a true series finale. There was talk about the show possibly moving to ABC but it didn’t work out. A lot of different sets were used in the production of Ghost Whisperer. Before they were dismantled and destroyed, Jennifer Love Hewitt returned to take fans on a 17 minute tour and to say goodbye. In the video’s final moments, Hewitt gets emotional while addressing the show’s loyal viewers. She says, “It was an amazing five years. I can not thank you guys enough, from the bottom of my heart — for being so incredibly gracious, for being so loving, for being so accepting of Melinda and all of her craziness, all of her ghosts all of her nightmares, and all of her unfinished business.” Hewitt continues, “Your love and support has meant everything to the cast and crew of Ghost Whisperer and we will all miss you guys very, very much. And I promise that I will come back to TV to do something really, really fun. Go get our DVDs, think about us, miss us and know how much we all will miss you. (tears up) Much love.” She has to stop at the end, saying “Sorry.” and giving a tiny wave to the camera. |
