Jennifer Love Hewitt explains her ‘precious lady’ jewels

While all the other late-night talk show hosts last night were yakking about NBC, Jennifer Love Hewitt was on with George Lopez talking about something entirely different – her private parts. Or as she called put it – her “precious lady.”

In her upcoming book, The Day I Shot Cupid, she mentions that she has a chapter on “Vagazzaling.”

She explains: “After a breakup a friend of mine Swarovski Crystaled my ‘precious lady’ and it shined like a disco ball and so I have a whole chapter in there about how women should ‘vagazzle’ their va-jay-jays.”

And was hers vagazzled as they spoke? Yes, she told Lopez. “It’s hot pink for today for you. I am currently vagazzled.” Hit Read more to watch the video and to see what nickname boyfriend Jamie Kennedy called Love that really ticked her off.

He was walking down the hall one day, she says. “And he goes, ‘Hey, my little pear ass.’ “I said, ‘I’m sorry, what did you say?’”

Hewitt, 30, then explained to Lopez that the remark wasn’t a compliment. “Have you ever seen a pear?” she asked. “It starts thin, it gets fat and it never gets thin again. It’s not cute. It’s not a cute fruit.”

She said they’ve since “worked it out” and now “we’ve embraced the pear.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt Directs 100th ‘Ghost Whisperer’ and It’s Big

Sure, it’s getting near Christmas, but on the “Ghost Whisperer” set, it’s been more like Halloween. The series company has been engaged in shooting its 100th episode this past week, with star Jennifer Love Hewitt as director. With this year’s storyline moving toward a confrontation with supernatural forces from the dark side, she has her hands full, to say the least.

“I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, but it’s serious,” the show’s Camryn Manheim lets us know. “Let’s just say pyrotechnics. A lot of pyrotechnics. Let’s say it’s one of those episodes where, going in, everyone says, ‘Don’t make any plans. We’re going to be around for a long time.’”

The Emmy-winning actress admits she hasn’t been so sure about some of the dramatic moves taken by the “Ghost Whisperer” writer-producers over the last couple of seasons. In particular, “I was skeptical about the huge leap of Jim dying and then taking over someone else’s body,” she says, referring to David Conrad’s character, the husband of Hewitt’s Melinda Gordon.

“I wasn’t sure people would stick it out, but they have. In fact, the popularity of the show has increased. The viewers are smart. They do want to be challenged. They are willing to work harder to follow a new story line.”

Indeed. This year moved “Ghost Whisperer” ahead five years, making Melinda and Jim’s baby, Aiden (Connor Gibbs), into a young child with even more powerful — and dangerous — abilities than his mother’s.

Neil Patrick Harris, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Alfred Molina are among those set to voice key characters for the new half-hour animated Christmas special, “Yes, Virginia” which will premiere Friday, Dec. 11 (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

The animated special tells the story of 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon (Beatrice Miller) a young girl growing up in late 1800s New York City who always loved Christmas, until the playground bully, Charlotte (Julian Franco) tells her and the other children that Santa Claus doesn’t exist.

Not sure what to believe, Virginia and her friend, Ollie (Kieran Patrick Campbell), venture into the streets of New York City to uncover the truth. Along the way, they encounter a Scraggly Santa (Michael Buscemi) who is trying to raise money for the less fortunate (he admits he’s not the real deal, but someone who sort of works for Santa Claus), an over-eager librarian with a shelf full of Christmas books, and interesting advice from Virginia’s quirky scientist father (Neil Patrick Harris) and understanding mother (Jennifer Love Hewitt).

Unable to find the answer, Virginia decides to write a letter to the New York Sun newspaper, and is found by the curmudgeonly editor, Francis Church (Alfred Molina)who feels he has better things to do than respond to a little girl’s question.

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s MUSIC BOX #1

It’s nice to actually see a successful comic in connection with a celebrity, especially someone who comes across as being as good-natured as Jennifer Love Hewitt. Could this also work for, say, Eliza Dushku or Scarlett Johansson? In Hewitt’s case, she is well-versed in eerie storytelling from her long run on the TV series, “The Ghost Whisperer.” And the IDW comics based on the show are doing well too. As it turns out, “Music Box” just feels right from the get-go and ends up delivering like a good horror comic should.

Hewitt’s idea was to create a spooky series of stories surrounding a supernatural music box in the anthology style of the landmark TV series, “The Twilight Zone.” And, judging by Issue One, they’ve succeeded. Each issue will tell one story, and this is an excellent read. We start with “Details,” a story about a quiet detective who wishes he could stop crimes before they happen. Once he crosses paths with the music box, he gets that wish. The art by Michael Gaydos is appropriately moody for this hard-boiled crime story. Similar in style to Sean Phillips’s work on Ed Brubaker’s noir comics, Gaydos is a little lighter on the brush and provides just the right weight for the characters and pacing.

Scott Lobdell, a two-time Wizard award winner, provides a fast-paced story. The premise and the characters work well, but you sort of wish the action would slow down just a bit. The story delivers a tight yet meaty portrait of the main character, Oliver Kulpalski. Again, Gaydos’s art goes a long way in keeping that balance of giving you all the details you need while moving the story along. He manages to pack a lot of soul into Kulpalski’s NYC world, including some nice, spare panels set on the subway and in Central Park.

“Music Box” is set for a ten issue run. Each issue will delve into some new aspect of the titular object as it moves from one unsuspecting owner to the next. Overall, it looks like it should be a fun journey.

Jennifer Love Hewitt on ‘Ghost Whisperer”s New Cast Member

When “Ghost Whisperer” returns tonight for its fifth season, it will be five years in the future and Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Jim (David Conrad) are the parents of a five-year-old son Aiden (Connor Gibbs).

“We felt that we could tell more interesting stories with Jim and Melinda’s child being five years old,” Hewitt tells ET’s Mark Steines, who is on the set of the hit CBS series.

That said, fans of the show will remember that earlier, Melinda didn’t want to have a child because she was worried that it would inherit her gift, which brought her a lot of pain when she was a child.

But when Jim died and his spirit jumped into another body and, then, it took him a while to remember who he was, Melinda decided she needed a piece of him.

“She is overwhelmed,” Hewitt continues. “Her son is special because he is hers, but is he ‘special’ in the ‘Ghost Whisperer’ way?”

Hewitt directs the premiere episode and she jokes, “I am so bossy by nature, it is perfect.”

But that isn’t the only way in which she is spreading her wings. She is also the author of a book that will be released in spring of 2010, which she has been working on for four years.

“It is my thoughts on dating,” she tells Steines. “Most books are anti-guy. My book is about how guys probably aren’t as wrong as we think … and we should look at ourselves.”

“Ghost Whisperer” returns will all-new episodes tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Reveals a ‘Ghost Whisperer’ Time Shift

Friday night is supposed to be a bad night for television, but you wouldn’t know it from the success of “Ghost Whisperer,” premiering its fifth season on Sept. 25. But first, Jennifer Love Hewitt is on the ET stage with Mary Hart to give her the scoop on the new season and boyfriend Jamie Kennedy.

“I followed Jamie on his comedy tour,” Jennifer tells Mary when asked what she did on her hiatus. “I went around with him to tons of cities and I sold T-shirts at his shows.”

Jamie is also Jennifer’s co-star. He plays Eli James, who can hear the dead but not see them.

“It’s really nice to have someone you love and care about next to you, because we can hold each other up when the schedule gets long and things like that,” Jennifer says.

Mary also gets Jennifer to reveal a surprise from season five: There will be a significant time jump, so Melinda’s (Hewitt) newborn son Aidan will now be five years old and he will share his mother’s gift.

“He’s going to be far more gifted than Melinda could ever be,” she says.

And that’s not all. Jennifer will be directing more episodes this season, like the season premiere.

“Ghost Whsiperer”‘s fifth season premieres Friday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
