Hewitt and Kennedy to Star in Developing Drama Called “Cafe”
Written by Jennifer on May 18, 2009

Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy are starring in “Cafe,” an indie drama from writer-director Marc Erlbaum.

Alexa Vega, Madeline Carroll, Daniel Eric Gold and Hubble Palmer also appear as part of an ensemble of Philadelphia residents who frequent the local West Philly Grounds coffee shop where Hewitt’s character Claire works.

Sean Covel and Chris “Doc” Wyatt (“Napoleon Dynamite”) and J. Andrew Greenblatt (“Explicit Ills”) are producing. The film, which began shooting May 11 in Philadelphia, is the first production from Erlbaum’s Nationlight Prods. shingle.

Hewitt, repped by Endeavor and Untitled Entertainment, stars on the CBS show “Ghost Whisperer.” She most recently appeared onscreen in the “Garfield” feature and its sequel.

Kennedy, repped by Paradigm and 3 Arts Entertainment, also appears on “Ghost Whisperer” and most recently starred in “Extreme Movie” and “Kickin’ It Old Skool.”
